Program Overview
Tutoring services at UCC are FREE and available to all students on a drop in basis. Tutoring is offered in a variety of subject areas. The goal of tutoring is to promote your learning and to assist you in becoming a more capable and confident student. All peer tutors have successfully completed college classes and are anxious to share their knowledge with other students. The tutoring center is located in the Educational Skills Building (ESB) Room 15.

What Tutors Can Do:
- Review and explain assignments.
- Review course outlines and objectives.
- Clarify information presented by the instructor.
- Help you understand the textbook and utilize the information it contains.
- Help you identify and understand major topics.
- Help you edit your written papers.
- Help you edit your writing mechanics.
What Tutors Can't Do:
- Teach you material that you have not read or heard in class.
- Write speeches or term papers for you.
- Do your homework for you.

- Psychology, History, and Family Development
- Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics
- Health Occupations, Nutrition, A & P, and HPE 295
- Engineering, AutoCad, and Computers
- Accounting, Business and Office Technology
- Foreign Languages (Spanish / French)
- Reading, Writing, & Speech
