EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Develop, direct, and evaluate the SSS Transfer Opportunity Program in compliance with U.S. Department of Education SSS regulations.
Recruit, recommend for hire, train, and supervise SSS TOP staff.
Conduct annual performance evaluations for all SSS TOP staff.
Plan and facilitate weekly SSS TOP staff meetings.
Develop and implement a TOP recruitment and retention plan.
Plan and implement with SSS TOP staff participant program services which enhance the successful transfer to a four year college degree program.
Plan and conduct annual TOP program evaluation with SSS TOP staff and Deanof Student Services.
Enhance and maintain close relationships with faculty, developmental education, financial aid, admissions, registration, business office, and counseling center staff to ensure that all required services are provided to SSS TOP students.
Develop, administer, and monitor annual SSS TOP program budget.
Develop and submit Annual Performance Report to the Department of Education.
Establish, monitor, and maintain official SSS data program records required by the Department of Education
Develop administrative TOP program guidelines that conform to Department of Education regulations as well as UCC Policies and Procedures.
Promote the SSS TRIO mission within the college, in the public media, the community, local schools and other colleges.
Participate in college Administration Association meetings and Student Advising and Financial Aid Committees
Provide daily personal, career, transfer, advising, and counseling services to students.
Plan, teach and/or facilitate monthly educational/cultural workshops/activities.
Carry out annual equipment inventory in compliance with UCC and Department of Education regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Education, Behavioral and/or Social Science or related field required.
Three years successful supervision, fiscal and project management experience required.
Proven written and oral communication skills required.
Demonstrated sensitivity and experience working with individuals from diverse social, economic, ethnic, academic, and cultural backgrounds required.
Working knowledge and use of technology required.
Ability and willingness to provide quality customer service required.
Previous college advising, counseling, or teaching preferred.
SALARY:$51,071 per year, Full-Time, 2007-08 Administrative Salary Schedule, Level II
