Become a Part-Time Instructor
UCC Community Education Part-Time Non-credit Instructors
Do you have have a skill or interest to share? UCC Community Education believes that learning is a rewarding experience that is best in an informal, supportive, environment. Opportunities exist to teach on campus, Roseburg, in outlying communities, or online.
The ideal instructor candidates for our program are individuals who combine an interest in serving the community with a desire to supplement their existing income. Although our compensation is competitive with other continuing education programs, it must be understood that it cannot be regarded as primary employment. We do not offer full-time employement to our instructors, nor is teaching for us a route to full time employment with our program. We are very interested in developing long-term relationships with successful instructors.
We are looking for qualified instructors to teach part-time non credit courses in the following areas:
| Arts and Crafts | Languages & Writing |
| Business & Career | Recreation or Dance |
| Computer/Software | Driver Education |
| CPR/First Aid | Personal Enrichment |
| Fitness & Health | Online Courses |
| Home and Garden | Youth & Family |
To apply, you must submit UCC Employment Application Form along with the Course Proposal Form* and Instructor Info Form. (Adobe Acrobat.pdf file). It must be clear from your application packet what topic(s) you would like to teach.
*CPR/First Aid and Driver Education Instructor Applications do not require Course Proposal Form.
Be aware that reviewing Course Proposal Forms takes several weeks to process. Community Education Coordinating Staff members usually work two terms ahead of the current term. If our coordinating staff determines your proposal can be ran as a viable class, they will notify you.
