Testing Center

The testing center provides the community with secure, accessible, and professional testing services for:

  • Pearson Vue testing which includes professional program licensing and GED testing.
  • Oregon Department of Agriculture Pesticide exams: Call 877-533-2900 or visit Metro Institute.
  • State of Oregon Licensing exams for the Department of Consumer and Business Services: Building Codes Division
  • Prometric (Automotive Service Excellence-ASE).
  • Accuplacer and ALEKS Placement Assessment.
  • CLEP exams through College Board.
  • Proctored exams for Accessibility Services.
  • Test proctoring services for students attending other colleges.

What to Expect on Test Day

  • Valid Photo ID Required for all exams. Some exam providers require secondary identification at check in. Check with the test provider to confirm ID requirements.
  • No Food, Drinks, or electronic devices are allowed in the Testing Center.
  • No textbooks, notes, or aids of any kind will be allowed without written permission from the instructor, or professional testing services.
  • Test candidates will be asked to store belongings in a locker provided, such as: phone, watch, headphones/air buds, water/food, wallet/purse/backpack. Empty pockets of all contents. Hats are not allowed.
  • Hours vary. Tests are by appointment only.
  • No children allowed within the center, and no unattended children are allowed to wait outside the center.
Requirements

Visit Employee & Student Self-Service

Log in using your User ID (your student account number) If you do not remember it, contact the Help Desk.

Type in your PIN (If you are a first time user be sure to use the correct date format MMDDYY)

If you do not remember your PIN use the Forgot PIN button directly under the entry box.

Click on the Student tab as shown then select Student Account from the menu

*Payments made on-line will not update immediately; balance updates are on a 20 minute cycle.

**Account holds based on over-due balances; payments will not clear holds until the next business day.

Preparing for Placement Tests

You should always consult with your advisor before making Placement Testing appointments as many students may not need to complete these exams.

Fees

Placement testing is free for Umpqua Community College students.

Placement testing is $18 per exam for individuals who are not enrolled at Umpqua Community College.

Exam proctoring for outside universities, colleges, and government agencies is $18 an hour.

Fees must be paid before sitting for an exam and can be paid in the Financial Aid Office.

Testing Center hours vary depending on the term.

Testing Center is closed all Fridays during Summer term.

For special testing hours, contact the Testing Coordinator.

Non-summer hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Wednesdays 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Hours may vary. Closed all Holidays. Call for special appointment requests.

Hours are subject to change, please call ahead to schedule appointments that cannot be made online through our exam partners.

GED Course Offerings

Interested students can enquire about GED course availability at the Woolley Center, please call (541) 440-4603.

Wolf Creek Job Corps offers GED courses and job training. Interested students can call 1 (877) 763-0580.

Age release forms are required for students under the age of 18. Contact the GED Option Program you are interested in for additional information.

GED exams are scheduled directly through GED.com and Pearson Vue, not with the Testing Center.

Campus Closures & Delay Procedures

When Umpqua Community College (UCC) experiences a delay or closure due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, the Testing Center will remain closed for the entire day, even if the campus reopens after the delay.

If you scheduled your test through a third-party platform, you must contact that platform directly to reschedule your appointment. UCC is unable to reschedule your appointment, it will need to be done with the third-party platform. If it is a placement test, please reschedule with the testing center.
