Umpqua Community College, founded in 1964, is the regional center for higher education in Douglas County, Oregon. UCC provides high quality college degree programs, workforce development, and community learning opportunities. UCC’s mission is to Transform Lives and Enrich Communities.
In 1970, the UCC Foundation was established as the philanthropic arm of the college. The Foundation is dedicated to helping UCC transform lives by making higher education accessible to anyone who dreams of going to college and making a difference in their communities. The Foundation raises critical financial resources.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors. The Directors serve as fiduciaries to the UCC Foundation and provide strategic oversight of its governance and operations.
The Foundation Board has five working committees responsible for key functions of the Foundation. The Foundation Board Committees are composed of members and non-members who serve as committee volunteers.
The Foundation is proud to have a well-rounded board offering skills that strengthen our work and a balanced board that reflects the diversity of our student body. We encourage anyone who is passionate about UCC and its mission, and anyone interested in serving as a board member to submit an application.
We are excited to learn more about you and your interest in supporting the UCC Foundation. The next application cycle opens in March 2026.
