UCC students placed high in statewide competition.

Students from Umpqua Community College recently participating in SkillsUSA Oregon competition. Students from throughout the state competed at this yearly event made up of several career development stations. The 1st place winners from each state’s competition are invited to the national competition in Louisville Kentucky June 20 – 24, 2016.

SkillsUSA improves the quality of America’s skilled workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical and professional skills training. The program also enhances the lives and careers of students, instructors and industry representatives as they strive to be champions at work. More than 14,500 instructors and administrators are professional members of SkillsUSA, including those from Umpqua Community College.
