The Area IV (Roseburg) Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee recently changed the application process for people applying for the Inside Electrical apprenticeship.
Application packets are checked to insure applicants meet the minimum qualifications of the MA 4016 Inside Electrical Standard. The next step is an interview appointment with the Inside Electrical Committee. Interviews are conducted at least once annually. After the interview, the interview scores are computed and each applicant is merged into an existing list. This skews the previous list. Eligibility is good for two years. When a training agent needs a new apprentice the top three applicants’ paperwork is forwarded. There are several exceptions to the process. The Area IV (Roseburg) Inside Electrical JATC Standard is attached for your reference.
The apprenticeship electrical classes are only offered to apprentices hired by a BOLI-ATD registered training agent (employer). This highly competitive application process is the only way a student may become an inside electrical apprentice.
