Public invited to attend free presentation on campus.
ROSEBURG, Oregon – Umpqua Community College (UCC) is bringing a world-renowned speaker and leadership educator to its campus on Tuesday, September 19, and the public is invited to listen to his presentation for free.
Drew Dudley is the Founder & Chief Catalyst of Day One Leadership, Inc. He helps organizations around the world increase their leadership capacity. His clients have included some of the world’s most dynamic companies and organizations, including McDonald’s, Dreamworks Animation, JP Morgan Chase, and over 75 colleges and universities.
Dudley has spoken to more than 250,000 people on 5 continents, and has been featured on The Huffington Post, Radio America, Forbes.com, and TED.com, where his “TED talk” has been voted “one of the 15 most inspirational TED talks of all time.” TIME, Business Insider, and Inc. magazines have all named his talk as one of their “10 speeches that will make you a better leader.”
The topic of Dudley’s presentation is “This is Day One”—Creating Cultures of Leadership. This presentation is specifically designed to talk about the foundational things all leaders need to do to create powerful personal cultures of leadership.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re a senior administrator, a high school student, or somewhere in between–I’ve discovered the vast majority of people do not have a strong conception of their core leadership values and how to more consciously embed them into their behavior each day,” Dudley said. “This session will focus on how to solve it.”
Dudley’s presentation starts at 6 p.m. on the main UCC campus at Centerstage Theatre; located in the Whipple Fine Arts Building. The 1-hour presentation will be followed by a 30-minute question and answer session.
