JOBS Program

The goal of the Umpqua Community College Job Opportunities and Basic Skills (JOBS) Program is to enable individuals to make the transition from public assistance to self-sufficiency. Students are referred by the Oregon Department of Human Services and work with JOBS Career Advisors to develop individual programs that help prepare them for full-time, unsubsidized employment.

SNAP Training and Employment Program (STEP)

STEP is a voluntary program for those receiving SNAP benefits, who are not on TANF. Components of STEP can include tuition assistance, job search training and support, and personalized career coaching. For more information, call Success Navigator at 541-440-7675
