Construction Update – March 2026

Construction continues to make strong progress on the Umpqua Community College Welcome Center & Medical Careers Hub.

Project Progress

During March, crews completed major portions of second-floor framing and shear wall construction while advancing structural alignment across the building. Initial roof framing activities have also begun as the project transitions from vertical construction into enclosure phases.

Favorable weather conditions supported steady productivity, keeping the project on track toward the next milestone: building dry-in.

Upcoming Work

• Continued roof framing and interior wall framing
• Sealing and staining of Mass Plywood Panels (early April)
• Exterior envelope installation
• Arrival of a smaller crane for roof truss work

Additional subcontractors will mobilize throughout April as construction activity increases into early summer.
