Miscellaneous Information:

M.A., Communication Studies, Minnesota State University, Mankato

B.S., Communication Studies, University of Nebraska at Omaha

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska where I decided to stay as I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. During my final year of college, I felt that I had outgrown the city I called home and was ready to experience more. My journey took me to Minnesota where I pursued my Master's degree while teaching courses in Communication Studies and coaching collegiate forensics. I have taken steps in my life to pursue my passion of teaching, which led me to Umpqua Community College and the beautiful state of Oregon. I have loved every moment of the journey! Outside of teaching, I have industry experience working with small businesses and in the non-profit sector.

When I am not teaching, I stay busy exploring the area, enjoying a nice cup of coffee, and finding a good book to read. I love to travel, but am always most excited when I get to visit home to see my family and friends. I am also a proud "cat mom" to my fur baby Frankie.

If you are thinking about the filed of Communication Studies or just interested in taking some classes, I would be happy to talk with you.
