Face-to-Face Information Literacy Instruction

Schedule a library research presentation for your class.

Class presentations focus on teaching your students to find, evaluate, and use resources to help them with assignments for your classes, while helping them realize they have allies in the library to turn to when questions arise.

Each session will be tailored to your specific class and assignments and focus on resources that would be the most useful for your students.

You can choose between short, medium, and long sessions or you can schedule multiple sessions where students build upon their skills learned in previous sessions:

Find - Short, 10-15 min

  • Show your students where to find resources for your class.

Find + Evaluate/Use - Medium, 25 - 30 min

  • Show your students where to find resources for your class.
  • Discuss evaluating and using resources as part of the research process.

Find + Evaluate/Use + Activity - Long, 35 - 50 min

  • Show your students where to find resources for your class.
  • Discuss evaluating and using resources as part of the research process.
  • Students practice what they’re learning in an in-class activity.

Multiple class sessions - Build on skills learned in previous sessions.
