A Work-Study is needed to assist with basic cleaning services at the assigned venue. Duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, wiping down counters, doors, windows and animal cages, and emptying the trash. Cleaning and stocking supply areas and bathrooms including vents. Must be able to clean and sanitize kennels and cages as often as necessary to keep odors under control. Washing and sterilizing of food and water dishes and other areas of the hospital to help stop the spread of disease. Notify management of deficiencies or maintenance issues. Other special tasks may be assigned.

Desired Qualifications include: Previous experience working with animals, such as in a shelter, veterinary clinic, or pet care facility preferred but not required. Some knowledge of animal behavior and basic care practices, ability to handle animals with various size and temperaments in a calm and compassionate manner, strong communication skills to effectively interact with both animals and team members. Must be able to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended time periods.
