The Umpqua Community College (UCC) Director of Registration and Records has announced the 2026 Spring Term Honor Roll. The President’s List (3.75 or higher GPA) is comprised of 299 full-time students (12 credits or more), and 132 students are on the Dean’s List (3.74 to 3.50 GPA).

UCC Begins Construction on Welcome Center & Medical Careers Hub to Strengthen Roseburg’s Future Healthcare Workforce

Umpqua Community College (UCC) officially launched construction of its new Welcome Center and Medical Careers Hub on August 14 with the demolition of the Del Blanchard Administration Building and a celebration ceremony. The $21.5 million project will serve as both a new front door to campus and a vital hub for healthcare workforce training in Douglas County. The facility is scheduled for completion in December 2026, with a grand opening in early 2027.

Local Students Can Now Earn A Doctorate in Nursing Through New UCC — OHSU Collaboration

Umpqua Community College (UCC) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), members of the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE), have announced a new collaboration, establishing a direct-entry pathway to a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.

The annual FFA Shop Skills Competition brought students from Glide, Roseburg, Sutherlin, Oakland, South Umpqua, Elkton, Days Creek, and Douglas high schools to UCC. Students competed for scholarships and prizes.

CTE Career Day 2025 Inspires and Connects Students with Local Industries

More than 400 students from Douglas County schools gathered on April 24 for the Career & Technology Education (CTE) Career Fair Day. Students from Glendale, Days Creek, Camas Valley, Douglas, Dillard Alternate Education, Riddle, Elkton, Yoncalla, Oakland, Roseburg, Baker Academy, and Glide participated in the event, designed to introduce them to a wide range of career opportunities.

UCC students can choose from a wide variety of fun and rewarding activities that build on a culture of collaboration and lead to lifelong friendships. Whether it’s rooting for one of our many Riverhawk athletic teams, joining one of our many clubs, performing in a theatrical production, or just studying with friends in the library, there’s always something to do at UCC.
