If you receive a scholarship from an outside or community agency (any agency other than the UCC Foundation) please complete this form and turn it into the Scholarship Office in the LaVerne Murphy Campus Center: Student Accounts, as soon as possible!

Application Instructions: 

  • Complete the Douglas Timber Operators’ Scholarship Application Form.
  • Attach a sealed official transcript of all high school course work through 1st semester of senior year including current GPA and/or transcript of all college courses taken. Please be sure SAT and/or ACT results are included.
  • Applications must be received by April 20, 2018.
  • Include three letters of recommendation.

Manfred L. Rathbun Memorial Scholarship

Amount: Technical training/ Associates Degree: $3000.00, Bachelors Degree $4500.00, Graduate Level $6000.00

UCC Deadline: Open until filled

Eligibility: Preference will be given to resident of Douglas County or who will receive their education in Douglas County.

The Recovery Village Health Care Scholarship

Amount: $1000.00

UCC Deadline: June 30, 2018

Eligibility: Given to a student pursuing a health-related degree program. Areas of study that will be considered include, but are not limited to, counseling, social work, emergency medicine, pre-med, nursing, psychology (with a focus on addiction counseling or a substance-abuse related field). Applicants must submit an essay no more than 500 words describing why they are passionate about health care, with a focus on substance abuse and mental health. Essays can draw from personal or professional experience.

The ABC Fundraising Volunteer Recognition College Scholarship

Amount: $2500

UCC Deadline: June 30, 2018

Eligibility: Current high school junior, high school senior, college undergraduate, or graduate students that have participated in consistent volunteer work. Complete the Volunteer Verification Form Volunteer_Verification_Form.pdf and write an 800-1000 word essay reflecting on your volunteer and fundraising experience.

The FamilyAssets 2018 Scholarship

Amount: $3,000

write a 1,500 word essay that addresses the following questions:

  • What is the most important lesson you have learned from providing elderly care?
  • How has working with seniors changed your outlook on life?
  • In your opinion, what can society do to improve the quality of life for seniors receiving care?

Karman Healthcare Mobility Disability Scholarship

Amount: $500.00

UCC Deadline: September 1st 2018


This scholarship applies to students who have a mobility disability, excelled academically and those who have a regard for disability awareness in America.

Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college, or university in the U.S.

Aged sixteen (16) years or older.

Open to all college, and university students with a mobility disability who use a wheelchair, or other mobility devices on a regular basis.

Maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 (or equivalent)


Statement or transcript of your Grade Point Average (GPA) – unofficial transcripts accepted.

Completed application via email attached as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file.

Submit an essay answering this year’s theme. If you are mailing in your submission, please use standard size 8.5 in. x 11 in. paper to submit your entry. If you are sending your essay via email, it must be typed and saved as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file.

Proof of mobility disability i.e. doctor’s note. (applies to daily use of a mobility device)

The PRINT IT Scholarship for Aspiring Content Creators

Amount: $500

UCC Deadline: January 11, 2019

Eligibility: Must be a resident of the U.S.A., enrolled in an accredited college or university for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Students must submit a short video (3:00 -10:00) that explains how their content will be engaging and tell a unique story. We believe that storytelling has relevance in all areas of life, therefore students pursuing any course study are welcome to apply as long as they clearly explain in their video how their content will offer a unique perspective.

Southern Oregon Viticulture & Enology Scholarship - New!

Amount: Up to $2000

Deadline: Continuous

The Southern Oregon   Viticulture and Enology Scholarship is an Employer Match scholarship is   available for employees, including owners, of Oregon Vineyards/Wineries/Tasting   Rooms. The ERATH Family Foundation (EFF) established this scholarship to   increase the number of personnel in Southern Oregon leadership roles who have   a fundamental education in V&E.
Through a generous donation   by the EFF, vineyards and wineries can support and encourage their employees   to attend the Southern Oregon Wine Institute at Umpqua Community College by   matching up to $2,000 per academic year per student/employee, for a total of   up to $4,000 per academic year per student/employee.
