If you receive a scholarship from an outside or community agency (any agency other than the UCC Foundation) please complete this form and turn it into the Scholarship Office in the LaVerne Murphy Campus Center: Student Accounts, as soon as possible!

Each of the scholarships listed must be applied for individually. Follow the specific directions for each scholarship and note that the deadlines for each varies. This listing is updated weekly, but does not reflect all available scholarships. Please review each scholarship carefully, and be aware of the potential for scholarship scams. Scholarship Opportunities   

 

The Vera Shukle Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $500

UCC Deadline: Ongoing

Eligibility: Available for UCC students who have been accepted to the nursing program as a second year student. Awarded based on merit, motivation and need.

Northwest Community Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

UCC Deadline: April 1st, 2020

Eligibility: 

Be a Douglas County resident

Attend an accredited college in Fall 2020 

Be a Northwest Community Credit Union member in good standing by April 1, 2020

Be a high school graduate or have a GED

Attend 9 or more credit hours, beginning Fall 2020 quarter

Demonstrate service to the community

Larry Levine Memorial Scholarship

Amount: Up to $3,500

UCC Deadline: April 1st, 2020

Eligibility:

Be a Northwest Community Credit Union member in good standing by April 1, 2020

Be a high school graduate or have a GED

Attend Umpqua Community College in Fall 2020

Attend 9 or more credit hours, beginning the Fall 2020 quarter

Demonstrate service to the community

Recipients may be awarded no more than twice

Douglas Timber Operators

Amount: $2,500

UCC Deadline: April 17th, 2020

Eligibility:

Applicants must be residents of Coos, Douglas, or Lane counties.

Applicants must have the intention to major in a natural resources related field.

Laurel Lodge #13 Masonic Lodge Memorial Scholarships

Amount: Varies

Deadline: March 15th, 2020

Eligibility: Preference given to Douglas County Residents or those studying in Douglas County. Applicants may be working toward an Associates, Bachelors or Graduate Degree.

Oregon PTA's Teacher Education Scholarship

Amount: $500

Deadline: March 30, 2020

Eligibility: Oregon residents who want to teach in an Oregon elementary or secondary school.

Ben Selling Scholarship

Amount: Varies

Deadline: April 1, 2020

Eligibility:

Minimum GPA of 3.5

Attend or plan to attend any college, university or trade school in Oregon or be planning to attend full-time any Rabbinical College in the United States.

Kids Car Donations STEM Scholarship

Amount: $1000

Deadline: August 15, 2020

Eligibility

Must be majoring in a STEM field of study

Must attend an accredited college or university

Southern Oregon Viticulture & Enology Scholarship - New!

Amount: Up to $2000

Deadline: Continuous

The Southern Oregon   Viticulture and Enology Scholarship is an Employer Match scholarship is   available for employees, including owners, of Oregon Vineyards/Wineries/Tasting   Rooms. The ERATH Family Foundation (EFF) established this scholarship to   increase the number of personnel in Southern Oregon leadership roles who have   a fundamental education in V&E.
Through a generous donation   by the EFF, vineyards and wineries can support and encourage their employees   to attend the Southern Oregon Wine Institute at Umpqua Community College by   matching up to $2,000 per academic year per student/employee, for a total of   up to $4,000 per academic year per student/employee.
