Strategic Plan Oversight Committee

Purpose

The Strategic Plan Oversight Committee (SPOC) provides a collaborative evaluation of institutional effectiveness and continuous improvement, ensures alignment of area goals to the Strategic Plan, and makes recommendations regarding alignment of strategic priorities, institutional indicators, resource allocation process, and overall efficiency of mission fulfillment.

Responsibilities

UCC utilizes an ongoing iterative institutional effectiveness model that aligns strategic planning, resource allocation, and assessment. Biannually, SPOC participates in assessment activities designed to systematically analyze progress on strategic priorities. Utilizing assessment data from academic and support Offices of Operation, plus institutional indicator data, SPOC makes recommendations for improvement. SPOC supports shared governance by the inclusion of all members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), co-chairs of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee (IEC), and Academic Department Chairs.
