Strategic Plan Oversight Committee
Purpose
The Strategic Plan Oversight Committee (SPOC) provides a collaborative evaluation of institutional effectiveness and continuous improvement, ensures alignment of area goals to the Strategic Plan, and makes recommendations regarding alignment of strategic priorities, institutional indicators, resource allocation process, and overall efficiency of mission fulfillment.
Responsibilities
UCC utilizes an ongoing iterative institutional effectiveness model that aligns strategic planning, resource allocation, and assessment. Biannually, SPOC participates in assessment activities designed to systematically analyze progress on strategic priorities. Utilizing assessment data from academic and support Offices of Operation, plus institutional indicator data, SPOC makes recommendations for improvement. SPOC supports shared governance by the inclusion of all members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), co-chairs of the Institutional Effectiveness Committee (IEC), and Academic Department Chairs.

Reports
At the close of each annual SPOC meeting the findings are summarized into an annual Strategic Plan Report, presented to the Board of Education, and published. Progress toward fulfillment of the Strategic Plan can be accessed in the annual reports:
