Article X — ASUCC Standing Committees
ASUCC Constitution

ASUCC Committees will investigate, report and propose actions to the ASUCC Leadership Board for a final vote unless otherwise stated.

Section I – ASUCC Activities Committee

  1. The ASUCC Activities Committee shall be comprised of ASUCC Activities Officer, chair, non-voting member and three (3) additional students enrolled in college credits or other credit at UCC, voting members as appointed by the ASUCC Activities Officer and the ASUCC Advisor, or advisory member, non-voting member.
  2. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Activities Committee to organize and manage ASUCC events.
  3. Meetings, quorum and voting will be defined in the ASUCC Bylaws.

Section II – ASUCC Budget Committee

  1. The ASUCC Budget Committee shall be comprised of ASUCC Business Manager, chair, non-voting member and three (3)additional students enrolled in college credits or other credit at UCC, voting members as appointed by the ASUCC Business Manager and the ASUCC Advisor, or advisory member, non-voting member.
  2. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Budget Committee to:
    1. Oversee all ASUCC Student Services.
    2. Review all ASUCC Leadership Board finances and provide the ASUCC Leadership Board with those findings.
  3. Meetings, quorum and voting will be defined in the ASUCC Bylaws.

Section III – ASUCC Constitution and Bylaw Review Committee

  1. The ASUCC Constitution and Bylaws Review Committee shall be comprised of ASUCC President, chair, non-voting member, three (3) additional students currently enrolled in college credits or other credit at Umpqua Community College, voting members as appointed by the ASUCC President, and the ASUCC Advisor or advisory member, non-voting member.
  2. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Constitution and Bylaws Review Committee to review and propose possible changes to the ASUCC Constitution and Bylaws.
  3. All proposals must be presented to the ASUCC Leadership Board for final approval.
  4. Meetings, quorum and voting will be defined in the ASUCC Bylaws.

Section IV – ASUCC Elections Committee

  1. The ASUCC Elections Committee shall be comprised of the ASUCC Vice President or ASUCC Elections Chair, non-voting member, three (3) additional students currently enrolled in college credits or other credit at Umpqua Community College, voting members as appointed by the ASUCC Vice President or ASUCC Elections Chair.
  2. All Students in which serve on the ASUCC Elections Committee may not be candidates for any ASUCC Executive Council position.
  3. Should the ASUCC Vice President be a candidate for any ASUCC Executive Council position, an ASUCC Executive Council Officer not running for office will assume the position of ASUCC Elections Chair.
  4. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Elections Committee to make decisions or changes to the ASUCC Elections Handbook not conflicting with this Constitution.
  5. Meetings, quorum, voting, policies and procedures will be defined in the ASUCC Bylaws.

Section V – ASUCC Leadership Review Committee

  1. The ASUCC Leadership Review Committee shall be comprised of the UCC Vice President of Student Services or designee, chair, non-voting member and five (5) students-at-large, voting members, selected by the UCC Vice President of Student Services and confirmed by the ASUCC Advisor, who shall have little or no prior knowledge and no bias for or against the action or issue, as determined by the UCC Vice President of Student Services.
  2. It shall be the responsibility of the ASUCC Leadership Review Committee to review, upon request, and modify if necessary, any action taken against any ASUCC Leadership Board member.
  3. Meetings, quorum, voting and policies and procedures will be defined in the ASUCC Bylaws.
