College Boosts a Paralegal Career

That was the case with Kim Tardie. She relates, "After graduating from high school and working 27 years in the legal field, I found it [was] time to step up my game and get my associate degree in Paralegal Studies at UCC."

From GED to PhD

Justina MartinJustina Martin had dropped out of high school. She dreamed of being a teacher someday, and she knew she had to get back to school but wasn’t sure when or how.

One day she drove by the Woolley Center in Roseburg and saw a sign, “Earn your GED and get a free term of college at UCC!” She knew it was time to step back in and finish high school. Martin is now a teacher at the Woolley Center, helping other students step back in and earn their GEDs. She is also working on completing her Ph.D. in English, studying communication and online learning.
