The duties for this volunteer position will based on your needs and abilities. It is our goal to place volunteers in a position they enjoy and look forward to each day.

Helping people with the court and restraining order process.
Answering the crisis line calls and providing information and options for victims.
Providing office support helping with outreach and fundraising events facilities and grounds maintenance.
Advocate for the Sexual Assault Response Team.

We provide 40 hours of Core Advocate Training to be a Certified Advocate. 30 of those hours are done online and the remaining are done in person.

Students in many areas of study can find a place here at Peace at Home. Whether you are studying Human Services, Social Services, Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, Business, Psychology, Nursing, ECE, and even Office Technology, just to name a few, we have a place just for you. We have a wide variety of options to help you meet your needs, while in turn helping those in your community that need it the most. 1 in 4 Douglas County residents have utilized our services.

Many of our full-time employees began as volunteers. This is a great opportunity to build your resume.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Peace at Home Advocacy Center has opportunities for people from all walks of life. We do require you to complete our Core Advocate Training, followed by a background check.

Job Status: Part-Time
