Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ODD, OCD, PICA, Physical Aggression, Verbal Aggression, Elopement, Inappropriate Sensory Seeking, Unfounded Accusatory Behaviors, Etc?

We have found that in the IDD community, many DSPs helping with behaviors like these can feel unsupported when issues arise. At KIDS NW we have a full Behavior Team that is accessible to each and every family and DSP regardless of what level of behaviors their member exhibits, and our Behavior team is highly trained in order to provide the best possible support to our DSPs.

This Position requires working one on one with a child or adult within your community, guiding, coaching and mentoring as well as working on skills and abilities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Our Ideal Candidate Should have:
1. Behavioral mental health experience
2. Experience working with escalated behaviors
3. Understanding or silliness to learn Behavioral Support Plans and Individual Support Plans
4. Kind, compassionate and consistent

Needs Valid Oregon Driver’s License?: Yes.

Job Status: Part-Time

Hours:  Evenings: Weekdays. Weekends: Flexible

Wage: $22/HR

Location: Roseburg, OR
