UCC Art Gallery Features Faculty Work

ROSEBURG, Oregon – The Performing and Visual Arts Department at Umpqua Community College (UCC) is proud to present a new exhibit in the UCC Art Gallery featuring visual arts faculty works.

New Work by UCC Visual Arts Faculty is now on exhibit through Dec. 6. Renee Couture, Ted Isto, Greg Price, and Susan Rochester maintain active studio practices in addition to teaching. This exhibit showcases recent works in Ceramics, Photography, and Mixed Media.

The Art Gallery, located in the Whipple Fine Arts Center, is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

UCC features the largest public art collection in Douglas County. The College’s Permanent Art Collection is an important part of the Art Gallery mission. More than 70 artworks are on display in public spaces across campus. Collected artists are regionally and internationally renowned, and offer varied perspectives of contemporary art practices in the Pacific Northwest.

There will be an artist reception on Friday, November 16, Noon – 1:30 p.m.
