ROSEBURG, Oregon – Umpqua Community College (UCC) is inviting the community to celebrate during its upcoming Pack the Gym Night. On Wednesday, Jan. 30, UCC is hosting the Lane Community College (LCC) Titans men’s and women’s basketball teams. Between the games, the College will unveil its new Riverhawk mascot. Along with the unveiling, here are some of the other activities fans can expect:
- 1490 The Score will be on campus broadcasting live from 4 to 6 p.m.
- Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
- Prizes and giveaways will be available on a first-come basis
- The women’s basketball game tips off at 5:30; the men’s tip-off is at 7:30
- Guest admission is $5, seniors are $3
- For UCC students and staff, and fans 12 and under, admission is free
The UCC men’s basketball team is currently tied for first, along with LCC and Chemeketa Community College, in the Northwest Athletic Conference south standings. The women’s team is currently in second place-right behind LCC.
