Scholarship Information

How to File for UCC Foundation Scholarships ▼

  1. Apply to UCC! Only admitted students are eligible for UCC Foundation Scholarships. Remember, admitting to UCC can take up to 7 -10  business days. Current UCC students are eligible too! Of course, current students should be planning to continue studies at UCC next year.
  2. Make sure you have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Declare UCC as your college of choice. Use school code 003222. Filling out the FAFSA will establish your need for financial help.
  3. Be sure to use only Google Chrome or Firefox web browser for the scholarship application process.
  4. Be sure that you can log in to the Student Self Service website. Hint: Do this after you are admitted to UCC.
  5. Be sure that you can log in and send emails from your Student Email. Student emails have the format 800xxxxx[at]student.umpqua[dot]edu. Hint: Do this after you are admitted to UCC.
  6. Be prepared to write 150 word essays. Gather people who can proof your writing. Here are questions to work on:
    • Describe your major and your long term professional goals. What stimulated your interest in your chosen major and what attributes do you possess that you feel would enhance your career?
    • What does success look like to you? Share an example.
    • Most UCC Scholarship funds are generously donated by individuals who have lived, worked, and been active in our area. Knowing this information, please tell us what a scholarship would mean to you.
    • Describe a significant change, experience or hardship that has occurred in your life. How did you respond and what did you learn about yourself?
  7. Choose two reliable people as your references and keep their email contact information available. Ask them NOW in advance. Remind them BEFORE the scholarship application deadline.

Amount: $500

Available for UCC students who have been accepted to the nursing program as a second year student. Awarded based on merit, motivation, and need.

Southern Oregon Viticulture & Enology Scholarship ▼

Amount: Up to $2000

Deadline: Continuous

The Southern Oregon   Viticulture and Enology Scholarship is an Employer Match scholarship is   available for employees, including owners, of Oregon Vineyards/Wineries/Tasting   Rooms. The ERATH Family Foundation (EFF) established this scholarship to   increase the number of personnel in Southern Oregon leadership roles who have   a fundamental education in V&E.
Through a generous donation   by the EFF, vineyards and wineries can support and encourage their employees   to attend the Southern Oregon Wine Institute at Umpqua Community College by   matching up to $2,000 per academic year per student/employee, for a total of   up to $4,000 per academic year per student/employee.
