ROSEBURG, Ore., Oct. 26, 2023 – The Art Gallery at Umpqua Community College presents “The Shape of Connection” featuring artwork created by over a dozen artisans from all over the country, curated by Brien Beidler and Amy Umbel, October 30 through November 29. The show includes hand-crafted objects covering a diverse array of media and styles.

From the curators, “While these functional works are not typically intended for display in a gallery space, we hope that engaging with them in this context will celebrate not only how beautifully form can follow function, but how each piece is shaped by connections between the people who make and use objects that enrich our lives.”

The show will be on display at UCC inside The Art Gallery at the Whipple Fine Arts Center from October 30 through November 29. Hours are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free.
