ROSEBURG, Ore., June 3, 2022 – Umpqua Community College’s Upward Bound program has secured funding for another five years to continue its vital outreach work targeting 65 area high school students. Total grant funds of $1,562,400 will be distributed annually in the amount of $312,480. This amount is up 14% from the previous grant award annual distribution of $270,375.
ROSEBURG, Ore., May 31, 2022 — Students interested in pursuing a degree in psychology can now complete a bachelor of science degree on the UCC campus in Roseburg with a new agreement between Umpqua Community College and Bushnell University.
Sometimes, the path to the career we want is a long one. As with anything, we may have to step out of our comfort zone in order to reach a new level. That was the case with Kim Tardie. She relates, "After graduating from high school and working 27 years in the legal field, I found it [was] time to step up my game and get my associate degree in Paralegal Studies at UCC."
The dark red Super Flower Full Moon will be rising in total eclipse. Weather permitting, the observatory telescopes will project images of the eclipse onto a large digital screen showcasing the event in real-time for public viewing.
