To apply for grants, loans, work-study, and some scholarships, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The school code for the UCC is 003222.
IMPORTANT: The FAFSA should be completed in October prior to enrollment at Umpqua Community College (UCC) each year.
EXAMPLE. If you are planning to start college at UCC in the fall of 2019, you should fill out the FAFSA in October of 2018.
We also recommend searching and applying for scholarships.
UCC's priority deadlines for submitting the FAFSA are listed on our Financial Aid Calendar.
This means all students completed the admissions process and have submitted a FAFSA that includes UCC's School Code 003222 no later than the deadlines for each term listed on the calendar.
Some types of funding are limited, so we recommend submitting your FAFSA as early as possible on or after October 1. If you submit the FAFSA after the deadlines found on the Financial Aid Calendar, you will still be eligible for aid but will not be considered for some funds.
After You Apply
After you successfully complete the FAFSA, the Financial Aid Office will send you an email to notify you via the email you provided on your FAFSA that your application has been received. The email will provide you with next step instructions.
What is it?
It's a process to confirm the accuracy of data provided by the applicant on the FAFSA. In order to complete the verification process, students are required to provide certain documents to the school for review. If the documentation the student provides the institution doesn't match what was reported on the FAFSA, verification can result in changes to the student's financial aid package.
